Straight up Verses for the Journey, Yours, Mine and Ours

The point isn't about the specific trial, but about His WORD, HIS PURPOSE, HIS GLORY.   THE WORD IS WHO HE IS!  AND.HE. IS. ALWAYS. AT.WORK.

Isaiah 55:10-11 "For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth And making it bear and sprout, And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; 11So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire,"

Already this year we have been encouraged by many verses that I want to pass along to anyone who needs a lift. Keep them coming.  Let's all keep them coming and going with each other because Hebrews 4:12 says,

"For the Word of God is full of living power..." 

Jeremiah 23:29 "Is not my word like fire," declares the LORD, "and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?" 

John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

So thanks for these following verses that have been txt and emailed, and mailed.  I'll call them "verses for the journey."  I'm sure I will be adding to it.  Our family is camping in Isaiah 40 for the duration!  We are all on a journey, they are for all of us:

Daniel 10:19
“And he said, “O man greatly loved, fear not, peace be with you; be strong and of good courage.” And as he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, “Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.”

Psalm 9:9 (NIV)
“The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed,
a stronghold in times of trouble.”

James 1:2-3 (NIV)
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds,3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (NIV)
“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”

Joshua 1:9
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."

Isaiah 41:10
"Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Ephesians 2:14 "For He Himself is our peace."

Ephesians 1:22 "And God placed all things under His (Jesus) feet."

So I said in my last post that "I can't see the trees." Does your bag have a hole in it? That can be a good thing! Get free of baggage!!

Miles in the bag? Yeah, that's good!  But it does not define me!  Measurements!  They can be so conflicting!  It is good to have goals, to move forward, to make progress, but to what end?  If you are like me, the bag that holds your miles has a big hole in it!  There's never enough!  By the grace of God, I've been on a life long journey learning that running with a hole in your bag can be a good thing!   Now I picture a wind sock instead of a bag.  Let those miles fall out the bottom!  Try that one on!   A banner trailing me that is empty .  My hope is that the empty banner  I carry is filled with the full wind of God!   If you struggle with measurements you can find peace here today.
