IT'S. NOT. WORTH. ANOTHER. WRECK.

Ever want to hold on to the moment, the person, the place, I mean really dig in and hold on?  These precious people, these places, these moments, when a new season is just around the corner...

This little girl in Honduras knew that Josh would catch her, she was loving the moment!  Here's to knowing God will always catch us, let us love the moments and let them go!  Every "let go" leads to a "CATCH!"

Is it the caffeine or the fact that I feel the control slipping from my fingers? Doesn't really matter what I want to control, when I/we belong to Jesus, the fact that He has control should bring on the peace and the surrender.

For some, change and adventure invite peace and joy!  We are all different.  For others, stability and calm would drive them crazy!  Don't compare, that's not the point.  I really just want to talk about surrender.  That's one thing that never changes with me, because I need to do it daily.  I don't like change.  Change is coming.  Always coming.  So how do I make peace with it?

The only way I "get there," is through prayer and meditation on Scripture. People can't give you peace, circumstances can't give you peace, things can't give you peace, places can't give you peace, only God can give us LASTING peace. Everything else is temporary.

God lays it out all through the Bible, and my favorite picture of letting go is in Hebrews 12:25-29,

"At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire.”

My study this am placed me in the story of King Nebuchadnezzar. God showed him 3 times that HE, GOD, was in control. King Neb had to lose his sanity to find His KING. It took him seven years to look heavenward. We don't have to wait like that! Right now He is the KING OF KINGS! MAREY MALEK! 1 Timothy 6:15-16 describes this King of Kings,

"Christ, which he will display at the proper time—he who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen."

I really don't want to be king of my life. I've seen the train wrecks I've caused in the battle for control in the past. The train wrecks may be hidden deep within, but even if only God has seen them,

IT'S. NOT. WORTH. ANOTHER. WRECK.

Surrender and trust are the only way for me. I admit, the surrender comes easier than the trust. It's wrong for me not to trust! God has taught me to trust over and over and been faithful over and over in crazy over the top mind blowing ways!  Letting go, stepping out in faith, in obedience

IS. NEVER. A. TRAIN. WRECK!

So just sayin', proclaimin', today I. WILL. TRUST. Join me?

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him,and he will make your paths straight."  Proverbs 3:5-6
