Special Days, A Most Special God
So today there's lots to celebrate! I have 3 of my loves graduating! Milestones! Milestones are important and they propel you on to the next! That is why it is so important to count the milestones with Jesus! If we don't keep track, it's easy to forget all the amazing moments we've had with Him. Hebrews 11:1 says, "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." Then on to verse 6, " And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."
Our faith is "built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness." I love that song! Our faith rests alone in the fact that Jesus died for us and counts us right with God! This is the gift of a true intimate relationship with Him! It's so easy to get side tracked and build our faith in what we know. But we are not going to derail on that track! Keep count, keep a journal, write to Him and listen to Him every day. He really does speak gently to us when we earnestly seek Him. Sometimes we don't hear Him right when we want to, but when we belong to Him, we will hear Him. "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me." John 10:27
There are two sweet songs that really dig into my soul right now. They talk about how He is all we need, and that He is always a good Father to us. Sometimes we just need to write that down. There is no right or wrong thing to write. But where He ministers to you, where you are drawn, go there.
Blogging is cool because you only have to read it if you want to read it, and for me, I don't write for feedback because it's all blind. If I write for feedback, I am not following His call. His call says to love others with His perfect love, and not to do it in expectation of anything that comes back. In fact if anything drives us more than His love for us and others, then we need to step back from it.
May I always love without expectation. Sometimes we think we need things, or people, or a plan, or a place...when all we need is to know He is there for us.
