HOPE! Punch the Darkness!

Sometimes we just need some protein!  A good word to punch the dark!  Circumstances swirl around us, often spinning out of control. But there is One Who is in control and we can trust HIM.  Let us “enter His gates with thanksgiving, His courts with praise!” As we pray,  and skim for HOPE.  God will show it to us!

1 Chronicles 29:10-13a - David’s Prayer of Praise
“O Lord, …, may you be praised forever and ever! 11 Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things.12 Wealth and honor come from you alone, for you rule over everything. Power and might are in your hand, and at your discretion people are made great and given strength.
13 “O our God, we thank you and praise your glorious name!”

Transitions always test me.  So for those who need a little encouragement for a season change, I write to you.  Why?  Because HIS Word promises us that HE is with us, and HIS Word is truth!” John 17:17.

I have encouraged us to cling to one verse.  If you need HOPE today, I pray that you find HOPE in HIS Word.

Psalm 94:19
“When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed HOPE and cheer.”

I have been there, in need of a good Word!  I live there!  Daily!  Lastly, I must add, we will not be overcome!  I could ramble on and on forever about HIS glorious light…but I’ll save it for later.  Today is just and “energy bar” to help you keep going!  Lord let us remember that in the deepest places, you meet us the deepest!

John 1:5
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”

Proverbs 13:12 says,
HOPE deferred makes the heart sick,
but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.”

Psalm 42:7
“O my God, my soul is in despair within me; Therefore I remember You from the land of the Jordan And the peaks of Hermon, from Mount Mizar. 7Deep calls to deep at the sound of Your waterfalls; All Your breakers and Your waves have rolled over me. 8The LORD will command His loving-kindness in the daytime; And His song will be with me in the night, A prayer to the God of my life.…”

David says in Psalm 43:5
Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your HOPE in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.”
Is 61:3 says
“a crown of beauty
    instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
    instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise (and I say hope!)
instead of a spirit of despair.”

Jeremiah said in Lamentations 3:19-26
19" The thought of my suffering and homelessness
      is bitter beyond words.
20 I will never forget this awful time,
as I grieve over my loss.
21 Yet I still dare to HOPE      when I remember this:
22 The faithful love of the Lord never ends!
      His mercies never cease.
 23 Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning.
 24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance;
therefore, I will HOPE in him!”
25 The Lord is good to those who depend on him,
to those who search for him.
26 So it is good to wait quietly
      for salvation from the Lord."

Romans 15:13

13 “I pray that God, the source of HOPE, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 12:12

12Be joyful in HOPE, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”

1 Thessalonians 5:24

24The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.”
2 Samuel 22:17-20

"He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me. They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the Lord was my support. He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me.”  (PRECIOUS PICTURE OF LOVE!)
