When I Am Weak, He is strong! Truth! Cling!

This post title is from 2 Corinthians 12:10.  God's Word is full of pictures to help us with this.  So many words about light and water in the WORD!  The Bible starts with "Let there be light!"  Throughout the Bible God is referred to as the "fountain of living water."  So many stories about the power of water:  Noah, Jonah, the fishermen/disciples, etc.  I just get so excited when I sense a theme coming at me from God in a variety of directions. 

 I started out this year listening to Oceans by Hillsong, knowing that I would be "letting go" in so many areas of my life this year.  I have a picture of a flowering vine my friend gave to me last year the day Kristen left for college.  She said, this vine will grow and be a picture for you over the years of Kristen's bond with you growing as she continues to grow in other places.  It was a seedling last August, and now it covers my mailbox!  And let me just say, God has taken our family and our hearts to Honduras this year as He has let our girl spread her wings and share light there!  The bond of love and light and life from God has blossomed this year, as HE promises for all of us.  This tiny flower is a sample of 3oo flowers that are about to bloom!  I'm so excited!  Here is a picture from me to you!


This picture helps me share how there has been a mixture in my soul of resistance and peace all a the same time.  Some call it a "healthy tension."  Lord, I thank you for both, for in them, You draw me to You.  It says in Ephesians 2:4, "For he himself is our peace, "

 So this is just a short share to speak life as we transition to a new season!

 "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."  John 1:5

 "Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls;  all your waves and breakers have swept over me.  By day the Lord directs his love, at night his song is with me—a prayer to the God of my life."  Psalm 42:7-8

 These two verses have been such a blessing to me this entire year!  And several new songs have been written about them!  If music ministers to you the way it does to me, you will love these!

So I said in my last post that "I can't see the trees." Does your bag have a hole in it? That can be a good thing! Get free of baggage!!

Miles in the bag? Yeah, that's good!  But it does not define me!  Measurements!  They can be so conflicting!  It is good to have goals, to move forward, to make progress, but to what end?  If you are like me, the bag that holds your miles has a big hole in it!  There's never enough!  By the grace of God, I've been on a life long journey learning that running with a hole in your bag can be a good thing!   Now I picture a wind sock instead of a bag.  Let those miles fall out the bottom!  Try that one on!   A banner trailing me that is empty .  My hope is that the empty banner  I carry is filled with the full wind of God!   If you struggle with measurements you can find peace here today.
